Wedding Tips from Kalli June Photography

It’s no secret that planning a wedding can be overwhelming but I’m here to help as much as possible. I attend about 25 weddings/year, so you could say I’ve just about seen it all. It was so difficult for me to only choose 3 tips to share today because, as my brides know, I have SO many more. But these are my top ones & I hope they help ease your wedding planning mind!

"My Top 3 Tips for a Stress-Free Wedding Day

Tip No. 1

Always allot more time than you think you need to each part of the day. Imagine that every event is going to take at least 10-15 minutes longer than you think it will. The worst that can happen is that you’ll be ahead of schedule & actually get a minute to relax. Imagine that! ;)

Side note: Things will go more smoothly if your locations are close together. If you’re getting ready locations, the ceremony & reception are all far away from each other, that’s a lot of driving & can make the day feel rushed.

Tip No. 2

Keep family photos as simple as possible. I always ask for a list beforehand to make sure everything is organized & nothing is forgotten. Another thing that will make this time go smoothly is having a designated wrangler to call out names & get everyone needed ready to go. Yes, I call them wranglers because that is what they will feel like. This will most likely be someone who isn’t in many family photos but knows your families pretty well.

Tip No. 3

Hire people who know what the heck they’re doing. Having an amazing vendor team is what will seamlessly turn your wedding day dreams into a reality. If you’re in need of recommendations, I am 1000% happy to provide you with those!

Bonus Tip

Relax. Do everything you can to plan ahead for your wedding but when the actual day arrives, just sit back. This is your day & there is nothing better than just enjoying it. If something needs done, let someone else handle it. Your only job is to get married. Period."
